  my friend is trying to be reinstated his she feels her committee is biased can she have them removed she just wants to talk to her still in family

  Sorry, that would have been a matter for an appeal. Now its done and the friend must go through the hoops like everyone else. If they want to avoid the bias they may move so they are in another congregation. Even though the decision to reinstate will be with the original committee they often defer to the new congregation. So that's about all I can say. They could always keep going where they are but if there is bias they might as well go unicorn hunting, same possibility of success.

  what do you think of this show and is it a good way to discuss end times eschatology topics with my wife?

  somehow i imagine the new heaven and new earth being a let down full of flawed characters, especially if they're jws.

  I loved how it started. It has its moments. Phil/Tandy has become such a one trick character its starting to lag. It makes me chuckle now and then. It is so silly it just might make it easy to broach the subject since its not realistic and is not threatening to the mind of a JW.

  Saturday Let the Games Begin

  the start of a new memorial season is upon us.

  saturday is the day for the start of the invites to look but not touch the bread and wine.

  the "observer class" is a belief unique to jehovah's witnesses.. along with the invite to the masses a special effort is being made this year by the elders to invite all the df's, da's and faders.. along with the invite a copy of the rtj will be left with them.. naturally we will still be treated as pariah's if we do attend but it is the thought that counts.. i am of the "fader class" as i don't wish to rock the boat with my wife and extended family.

  the image of that letter has not been seen since he posted it and several people have searched everywhere for it and it just can not be found.

  Do you still believe in God?

  i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

  i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

  as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

  Hey Acts5v29, the Bible is a collection of books written over 1500 years by 40 different authors. This "theme" you speak of is a construct as they had no collaborative effort in writing these hand picked "books" compiled by power hungry dogmatists in 375 A.D.. This is hardly a foundation for divine inspiration. Seems like you are another weak willed bible thumper in the millennialist/Adventist tradition. So that would be a no for me.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

  Hate me if you must but I'm calling Bullshit on this. Don't give money to internet self promoters. No one sent me money and I went through a lot of the same things. Get over yourself and move on. As I said, hate me if you must but don't fall for this sort of scam.

  Edited to add: Nathan, I didn't read any more posts after the first two and decided to comment as I did. We are both on the right track I think.

  my first painting after my cataract oeration

  have only just been able to paint again after a cataract operation in september.

  i had complications which meant my short sight has been compromised but following some surgery the fluid buildup seems to have cleared and i have started painting again.

  this is a larger rendition of an earlier piece, such a relief to be ble to see the paper again..

  The lack of detail and color subtlety in the later works of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet can be attributed to postoperative cataract problems, according to letters the artist wrote to his ophthalmologist.

  The letters, which were recently aquired by the French Ophthalmological Society, were discussed by Dr. James G. Ravin in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Ravin said that because Monet's Impressionistic style was deliberately based on a certain imprecision of detail his visual difficulties did not become apparent until, when he was in his 60's, forms began to vanish in his paintings of weeping willows and water lilies.
